Shipping
We offer free standard shipping on our Australian and New Zealand orders when you spend over $300.00. Once you have placed your order, please allow 2-3 business days for your garments to be prepared and dispatched.
Due to limited stock, please choose sizes carefully. We encourage you to compare measurements of your current wardrobe using the size charts on the product page.

Express Post: 1-2 business days ($15.00 AUD, or $10.00 AUD when you spend $300.00 AUD)

Regular Post: 5-10 business days ($15.00 NZD, Free when you spend $300.00 NZD)
Express Post: 3-5 business days ($25.00 NZD, or $20.00 NZD when you spend $300.00 NZD)

VAT / Import Taxes and Duties
Please note shipping costs do not include VAT / import duties & taxes, these costs are the responsibility of the customer. Please check all VAT / import duties & taxes with your local customs office prior to purchasing.
Should your package be returned to us due to refusal to pay duties and taxes, we will issue you a gift card for the value of your order minus the cost of return shipping to us. JOSEPH & JAMES are not responsible for replacing or refunding any orders that are stuck in customs clearance.
Exchanges/Returns
Although we are confident you'll be happy with your garments, we understand not everything in life goes to plan. We offer free returns and exchanges for 14 days from receipt of your order for any full-priced items (AU/NZ orders only. For other countries, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs).
For items sold on sale, we offer size exchanges only for 14 days. We do ask that in this instance the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost.

When making a purchase with us, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set below:
Items bought on sale or discount (more than 15% off) are only eligible for store credit. Gift Cards are non-refundable.
AFTERPAY/KLARNA: Orders made with Afterpay or Klarna are not eligible for a refund or store credit, however can be returned for a free exchange for full-priced items. For size exchanges for items bought on sale in AU/NZ, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs, while we will cover the shipping cost of the new exchanged item. For all international orders, shipping costs are the responsibilty of the customer.
To be eligible for an exchange/return, the garment(s) must be in original condition, unworn and unused, with tags still attached.
To initiate an exchange/return, email store@josephandjames.com.au with the reason for the return, or exchange request, and include the order number in the subject line. Please allow 1-2 business days for us to process your request. Note, you must hand in your package to the courier within the 14 days since initially receiving your order to be eligible for a refund/exchange.
When returning, we encourage you to reuse the same packaging in which the order was delivered to you.
Depending on your location, please allow 5-10 business days from when you give your package to the courier for your return to be received and inspected. Once received and we are satisfied with the garment's condition, we will process your refund within 1-5 business days, depending on your bank.
The above Returns Policy is in addition to and does not affect the statutory rights you have under the Australian & New Zealand Consumer Laws.
Faulty Policy
We aim to provide you with products of the highest standard and quality. If you have received a product with a manufacturing fault, please contact us as soon as you receive your order. This way we can guide you through the returns process and help resolve the problem. Please provide our team with images of the damage, defect or fault for a preliminary assessment.
If the product is confirmed to have a manufacturing fault, we will replace the product or refund the price of the product to your original payment method at your request. If the product is found not to have a defect or deemed out of warranty, we will ship the product back to you.
It does not constitute a defect, if in our reasonable opinion, the product has, following the sale to you, become of unacceptable quality due to fair wear and tear, misuse or failure to use in accordance with care for instructions.
Environmentally-Friendly Packaging
To play our part in minimising our environmental impact on the planet, we deliver your garments in boxes made from 69% recycled materials. Our cards are printed on 100% recycled paper using an eco-friendly printing process, and our FSC-certified tissue paper, and 100% recycled and biodegradable packaging tape, are both printed using soy-based inks.
